In this first part of my collected works we talk about psychodynamics, capitalism, science and gender.

We try to understand what exactly the structure of the human psyche is like and how the different elements of this structure relate to each other and function together. Through many many examples the reader gets a feeling for this dynamic and a sense of how it is that this system operates.

We also relate this knowledge to the question of capitalism. How can we understand the accumulation of wealth as a logical enterprise in the light of our make-up and is it a healthy habit in the end?

We further consider the human activity of the scientific community and the quest for objectivity, neutrality, sterility and typical aspirations and attitudes that rule and govern this endeavor and ask how we can place them in the view of ourselves as creatures of the ego.

At last we talk about gender from a psychoanalytic viewpoint. We draw the distinction between the sexes on the basis of having or not having the thing, and whether there is a thing or there is no-thing, considering how we may or may not favor one condition over the other.
